JOB DESCRPTION
Works with students of various abilities to enable them to meet academic and social objectives through an inclusive classroom environment. Assists in the design, development, writing, and implementation of IEPs for students; modifies lessons for differentiating ability; and provides individual or small group instruction. This role watches over the progress of each student, communicates openly with parents and staff, and provides a safe, supportive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth. The post offers a fulfilling opportunity for making a positive contribution towards students with special educational needs under the support of senior teaching staff.
Responsibility
1-To assist the lead teachers develop and implement individualized education plans for every child according to their specific needs and goals.
2-Modification of Lesson Plans : Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to adapt to the needs of all students in order to provide them with opportunities to learn effectively.
3-Use direct instruction, in groups or individually, to strengthen weaker students with key ideas or skills as appropriate to a chosen topic.
4-Track student learning and development. Gather evidence and record regularly with the parents and senior team on their learning and social or emotional development.
5-Provide adequate opportunities for developing social skills or emotional resilience and assisting on how best to interact in different ways to ensure these positive outcomes.
6-Student-Friendly, Organized, and Inclusive Learning Environment**: Maintain a well-organized learning environment that is inclusive and promotes learning, adhering to the school policies and special education standards.
7-Collaborative Effort**: Work with other educators, specialists, and families to plan services and support for each student.
8-Current Best Practices**: As a means of expanding knowledge of new strategies and tools that may improve special education services and student outcomes.
Qualification
MA Degree (2nd Division)
Preferable Skills
1-Special Education Techniques
Knowledge of special education practices, instructional methods, and individualized teaching approaches.
2-Communication Skills
Can communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and team members toward understanding the needs of the child.
3-Classroom Adaptability
Willing to adapt or modify lesson plans and teaching materials in line with the unique learning styles and needs of students.
4-Patience and Empathy**: Shows patience, understanding, and empathy when relating with learners who experience academic and social challenges.
5-Organizational Skills**: Can handle the number of student plans, monitor progress, and maintain a well-structured and organized classroom.
6-Observation and Reporting: Can observe the behavior and performance of the students and write the right progress to be used to evaluate further.
7-Awareness of Access and Assistive Technology Resources: Familiarity with tools, or resources that may assist students with learning disabilities, including communication aids and adaptive devices.
8-Collaboration/Teamwork: Ability to work cooperatively with other teachers, specialists, and family members to support student success.
9-Problem Solving: Prompt identification and resolution of problems; ability to be flexible and adapt strategies as needed to support diverse learning needs.
